Die PlayStation 5 stellt die Spitze des New-Gen-Gaming dar und bietet solides Zocken in 4K@60fps (oder sogar 120fps mit einem kompatiblen Fernseher) sowie blitzschnelle Ladezeiten dank einer speziell entwickelten SSD – auch wenn diese mit 825 GB etwas klein ist und es im Gegensatz zur Xbox Series X deutlich schwieriger (wenn auch günstiger) ist, den internen Speicher aufzurüsten.
Wenn es um die Leistung geht, erwarten Sie Ray-Tracing, hochwertige Texturen, verbesserte Partikeleffekte und eine allgemein höhere Wiedergabetreue als bei der PS4, aber es ist wohl der DualSense-Controller, der sie wirklich von der Konkurrenz abhebt.
Der DualSense-Controller von Sony verfügt über anpassbare Trigger, was bedeutet, dass die Bumper den Abzug einer Waffe oder das Zurückziehen eines Bogens vor dem Schuss besser simulieren können, und die fortschrittlichen haptischen Motoren sorgen für ein viel realistischeres Gefühl. Die beiden Technologien zusammen sind ein großer Fortschritt im Vergleich zum Xbox-Controller, der bestenfalls minimale Unterschiede aufweist.

Die Xbox Series X ist Microsofts Antwort auf das New-Gen-Gaming. Sie bietet dieselbe (auf dem Papier sogar etwas mehr) 4K@120fps-Performance mit Raytracing, hochwertigen Texturen und verbesserten Partikeleffekten wie die PS5, und obwohl sie nicht ganz so schnell ist wie Sonys maßgeschneiderte SSD, bedeutet die Einbeziehung einer SSD, dass auch Spiele flott sind.
Es gibt eine große Spielesammlung, die Abwärtskompatibilität bis hin zur ursprünglichen Xbox bietet – etwas, womit die PS5 nicht ganz mithalten kann, da sie nur Kompatibilität mit PS4-Titeln außerhalb des PS Now-Dienstes bietet.
Das Design ist viel gedämpfter als das der Konkurrenz, mit einem komplett schwarzen Design mit grünen Highlights in der Lüftungsöffnung. Klein ist sie mit 30 cm Höhe aber trotzdem nicht.

Die Nintendo Switch (OLED) bietet zwar keinen grafischen Leistungsschub, wie einige vielleicht gehofft hatten, aber wie der Name schon sagt, verfügt sie über ein größeres 7-Zoll-OLED-Display für ein verbessertes Handheld-Spielerlebnis mit lebendigeren Farben und tieferen Schwarztönen. Zelda hat noch nie so gut ausgesehen wie auf dem OLED-Display der Switch!
Es ist jedoch mehr als nur ein Display-Upgrade: Die Akkulaufzeit wurde im Vergleich zur ursprünglichen Switch-Variante von 2017 verbessert und beträgt je nach Spiel zwischen 4,5 und 9 Stunden. Das Nvidia Shield TV mag für eine Streamingbox (oder in dem Fall Streamingzylinder) teuer erscheinen, aber die Spiele, die bei Google Play für das System verfügbar sind, sind wiederum ziemlich günstig. Doch das eigentliche Verkaufsargument ist ein anderes.
Das Shield TV bietet zwar alle Funktionen einer gewöhnlichen Streaming-Box, aber es bietet auch eine Reihe von Shield-exklusiven Spielen, die ziemlich energieintensiv sind, und es unterstützt auch eine Reihe von Bluetooth-Controllern.

Wenn die reguläre Nintendo Switch nicht mobil genug für Sie ist, könnte die kleinere Switch Lite genau das Richtige für Sie sein. Sie bietet das gleiche Erlebnis dank dem Zugriff auf alle Switch-Titel, aber mit einem kleineren 5,5-Zoll-Display und einem leichteren Formfaktor.
Anders als die Standardkonsole ist sie jedoch kein Hybridgerät – sie ist eine reine Handheld-Konsole und kann nicht an einen Fernseher angeschlossen werden. Die Joy-Cons sind auch nicht abnehmbar, was bei gestenbasierten Titeln zu Problemen führen könnte.

Sie ist kleiner und leichter als die Xbox Series X. Obwohl die Xbox One S 4K wiedergeben kann, gilt das nur für Videos. 4K-Gaming wird dagegen nicht unterstützt.
Achten Sie nur darauf, dass Sie die Konsole zum richtigen Preis bekommen; da die Lagerbestände schwinden, beobachten wir, dass einige Händler die Konsole für 200-300 Euro anbieten. Die PS4 Slim ist so ziemlich genau das, was auf der Verpackung steht: eine kleinere Version der ursprünglichen PS4 in einem kleineren (abgerundeten) Design, und mit der Einführung der PS5 ist sie günstiger als je zuvor.
Mit einer umfangreichen Spielesammlung und einer Reihe von Neuerscheinungen, die noch einige Zeit andauern werden, ist es immer noch ein guter Zeitpunkt, um sich eine PS4 Slim zuzulegen.
Besitzer einer PS4 müssen nicht aufrüsten, da die internen Komponenten fast identisch sind. Obwohl die Slim-PS4 über HDR-Unterstützung verfügt, ist diese nicht exklusiv, da sie mit einem Software-Update auch für die Launch-PS4 eingeführt wurde.
