Where do you park at the NYS Fair? ›

During the State Fair parking is available in our designated Orange, Brown, Pink, Gray, and Willis Ave. parking lots at the Fair. Follow signs from exit 7 on 690 east or west. Automobile parking is offered at a cost of $5.00 per day.

Both admission and parking sales are available online via the Fair's official online ticket seller, Etix, or by calling Etix toll-free at 1-800-514-3849 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The parking is available onsite for $10/day or there are also three other locations you can park at and take a shuttle from there to the fair ($10/day). It's important to be mindful of these prices before you go because they have increased by $1 this year! Learn more about parking spaces, hours, etc.

For the past 150 years plus (with the exception of last year), the fair has accepted cash at the front gates. Once inside the fair, nearly 100% of vendors accept cash.

Bags, backpacks, coolers, purses, and fanny packs are permitted but are subject to search upon entry to the New York State Fairgrounds.

⋅ Can I bring my own food/beverages to the Fair? While Fairgoers can and are encouraged to bring coolers with food and drink, they will not be allowed to carry any alcoholic beverages through the gates.

NEW for 2022 - Fairgrounds hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00am-11:00pm, Friday through Sunday 9:00am - 12 midnight, with no entry or re-entry after 10:00pm on any day.

Is the New York State fair cashless? ›

This year, there are currently no COVID-19 health guidelines set in place for the fair, issuing a true form return to pre-pandemic normalcy, though some of the new policies shall remain in place, like cashless entry at the gates and parking lots. Tickets into the fair are $3 and parking passes are $5.

Can I park overnight? No, overnight parking is not currently permitted at any Park & Ride site. Several council car parks, including Moor Lane (close to Askham Bar Park & Ride), allow 24-hour pay and display parking.

No person in possession of a deadly weapon shall be permitted onto or be permitted to remain on the Fairgrounds. All guns, either registered or unregistered, are not allowed on New York Fairgrounds property.

You can buy tickets in advance at nysfair.ny.gov or by phone at 1-800-514-3849 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. You can also buy tickets at the gates using kiosks with a credit card, or by using a QR code posted at the gate to purchase them on your phone.

"Smoking is prohibited by law inside the fair's buildings," the fair writes.

Thousands of union members are threatening to boycott the New York State Fair because the state is no longer honoring 40-year-old agreements to hire union ushers, ticket takers, plumbers, electricians and others for the 12-day event.

Fairgoers can meet the cows in the Dairy Cattle Barn on the Fairgrounds or see them compete in a show every day of the Fair at 3 p.m.

Gate and admissions revenues fell from $2.4 million for 2019 to $1.5 million for 2021, while concession revenues dropped from $4.9 million to $3.6 million. Attendance at the fair dropped 40%, from 1.3 million in 2019 to 800,000 in 2021.

While beverages and food from outside may be banned in some events, almost every music festival allows you to bring in a hydration pack. Carry around a water bottle is not only annoying, but it's old school.

Where can I buy York fair tickets? ›

Advance Admission Tickets will are on sale at Weis Markets, Rutters and Saubel's Markets for only $5 per person. Tickets can also be purchased online for $5.75 at the link below!

This year's admission prices will be as follows: Adults 18 and older: $10. Children and teens ages 6 to 17: $5. College students with ID: $5.

The answer is yes, you can! You can bring outside food and drink into the Fair, but not alcohol.

You can get into the fair for just three dollars every day but there is no cash that changes hands. You must either buy tickets in advance or use a credit or debit card on site.

Credit cards and debit cards

Credit cards are accepted everywhere. In New York (and in the rest of the US) people that use credit cards are more common than those that use cash. In many ways, it is comparable to using a debit card.

York has 6 Park & Ride services, allowing you to travel to York by car, park for free in secure car parks and complete your journey into the city centre by bus. All Park & Ride information can be found on the iTravel York website.

No weapons of any kind are permitted on the fairgrounds. This includes guns, knives, clubs, tasers, etc. Also, all sharp metal objects, such as pocket knives, scissors, and other sharp implements, are strictly prohibited. Please leave these items at home or in your vehicle.

The bills amended the state's penal law to designate parks − state, county and municipal − as “sensitive places” and as such, gun owners may no longer carry firearms into the parks for any reason, including hunting.

Can you open carry in NY while hunting? ›

Drivers can pay for parking by credit card in each lot or by EZPass Plus in the Fair's Orange and Brown lots. EZ Pass Plus is a free add-on to EZ Pass that allows it to be used to pay for parking in addition to highway tolls.

GENERAL PARKING

Parking in Fair Park for Broadway Dallas patrons is included in the ticket price for Broadway Dallas shows and available on a first-come, first-served basis. For all other shows that are not Broadway, parking is an additional $10.

Car Parking

Enter Broadway Tower via the main gates. The main car park is to the left of the Morris and Brown cafe followed by a grass overflow car park for peak times. We operate a pay and display system for our customers. Car parking is charged at £3 for a maximum of 4 hours and £6 for a whole day.

Can off duty cops carry in New York? ›
